Code of Excellence Recognition
I.B.E.W. Local Union 380 is the recipient of a great honor. Recently an article was published recognizing Local 380 on our implementation of the Code of Excellence and the many successes since its inception. It is with great pride that we add this article to our website. Ken MacDougall, Business Manager has received numerous comments from many who have read the article.
Dennis Whalen, Business Manager of IBEW Local Union 68 in Denver Colorado writes: "Dear Brother Ken- I wanted to take a moment and write to you to congratulate you, and your Local Union for your adoption of the “Code of Excellence” and obvious success with it’s implementation. I know from personal experience how easy it can be to say, “We agree with the C.O.E.” and how hard it can be to truly be the leader who implements, enforces and continues with the program by providing the “back-up” to the words. I admire, as the feature article I received states-….. your courage in setting “core values” from the top…. In Denver I use to have a long, drawn out “Mission Statement” on change, now it is much more simply stated. “Change is constant, Keep up” You and your Local Union are already leading the way!"
Larry Bradley, N.E.B.F. writes "Ken, Congratulations, Awesome job!"
Michael Fuchs of MJF Electric writes "Congratulations!!! This is a great thing for contractors and employees. Keep up the good work!"
Ray Shimabuku, Business Representative, I.B.E.W. Local Union 1186 in Hawaii writes "Congratulations on making the COE a success in your local. As you stated in the article the example starts at the top, your willingness to be a good example for your membership will only follow with positive results. Thank you for sharing your experience and inspiring me to look forward to a program that will help our industry."
Stephen J. Holroyd, Esq. writes "Great Article! Was this in an industry magazine or a union one?"
Jerry Robbins, Merck & Co., Inc. writes "Ken, congratulations to you and all of your team, this kind of behavior and forward thinking is the way of the future, and local 380 and its members should be proud of such an accomplishment."
John H. Healy III, MBR Construction Services, Inc. writes "Ken MacDougall and staff - this is really a GREAT article. Local #380 should be very proud of this achievement. I wish you could help institute this Code of Excellence in other Locals we work with. Thank you for helping MBR and our local Union contractors."
Harry Maniscalco, Benefits Administrator -Ironworkers Local Union 502 writes "Hey Ken, It looks like you folks are on the right track, good job for Local 380!"
